Top 10 lessons from this book:

1. Money alone isn’t enough to bring happiness.

Money doesn’t bring happiness, because happiness is when you’re actually truly ok with losing everything you have.

2. We must never lose our sense of urgency in making improvements.

We must never settle for “good enough”, because good is the enemy of great. Practice constant improvement.

3. Every person is interesting.

Meet people regardless of their position or their job. Very often those people who are not in the business world are more interesting and willing to offer.

4. There’s a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.

Theory is useful but nothing will replace real experience. Learn from practice.

5. To WOW, you must differentiate yourself.

Be innovative. You must do something that’s above and beyond what’s expected. And whatever you do must have an emotional impact on the receiver.

6. Don’t chase the money, chase your dream.

You will reach success only if you’re crazy about what you are doing. Working solely for money will not bring either money or happiness.

7. Without conscious and deliberate effort, inertia always wins.

If you don’t know your goals and make everyday steps to achieve them, your life will always flow by inertia and nothing will change in it.

8. No matter what your past has been, you have a spotless future.

You always have a chance to change your life for the better. Don’t cling to your fears and past failures, look forward and act.

9. Invest money into customer service and not paid advertising.

Your company’s best advertising will come from the clients who have received great service from you. The best marketing tool is word of mouth.

10. Embrace the change.

We must all learn not only to not fear change, but to embrace it enthusiastically and, perhaps even more important, encourage and drive it. Change is always about renewal and opportunity.
